The Toronto Blue Jays have signed outfielder Ryan Kalish to a minor league deal with an invite to spring training.

In 57 games with the Chicago Cubs last season, Kalish batted .248 while splitting time between all three outfield positions.

He spent parts of the 2010 and 2012 seasons with the Boston Red Sox. The team originally drafted him in the ninth round of the 2006 Draft.

The 26-year-old missed the 2011 and 2013 seasons due to various surgeries.
