The Toronto Blue Jays have set their rotation for the American League Championship Series against the Kansas City Royals.

Marco Estrada will open the series for the Jays, to be followed in the rotation by David Price, Marcus Stroman and R.A. Dickey.

Manager John Gibbons said the order was set to give the pitchers roughly their normal rest. Price will pitch on four days rest after his 50-pitch outing out of the bullpen against the Texas Rangers in Game 4 of the ALDS. Stroman will also throw on four days' rest after throwing six innings against the Rangers in Game 5.

In Game 4, Dickey will pitch on a full week's rest. He started Game 4 against the Rangers, pitching 4 2/3 innings.

Gibbons added the team would have Aaron Loup available for the series. The left-handed reliever missed Games 4 and 5 against the Rangers due to a personal issue.

The Royals will open the series with Edinson Volquez in Game 1, followed by Yordana Ventura, Johnny Cueto and Kris Medlen.

Volquez faced the Jays twice in 2015, recording an 0-1 record with a 2.38 ERA. He is 0-3 in his last five starts, including the postseason, with a 4.40 ERA.
