The Toronto Blue Jays have potentially added to their bullpen.

The team announced on Sunday an agreement on a minor-league deal with reliever Rafael Soriano. He will join the team's major-league camp.

Soriano, 36, made only six appearances for the Chicago Cubs last season where he was 2-0 with a 6.35 earned run average and a WHIP of 1.588.

A veteran of 14 MLB seasons, Soriano has also spent time with the Seattle Mariners, Atlanta Braves, Tampa Bay Rays, New York Yankees and Washington Nationals. He was an All-Star in 2010 when he led the American League in saves with 45.

His 207 career saves is eighth among active players and he saved 40 games in a season on three occasions.
