The Cleveland Browns will start their third quarterback in as many weeks against the Miami Dolphins.

Browns head coach Hue Jackson said rookie quarterback Cody Kessler will start Week 3 after Josh McCown will be unable to play against the Dolphins due a shoulder injury sustained in Sunday's loss to the Ravens.

Kessler, who spent his collegiate career with USC, was selected in third round of this year’s draft.

McCown completed 20 of 33 attempts for 260 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions in his first start of the season against the Ravens.

Robert Griffin III, who was named the Browns starter ahead of the season, suffered a broken bone in his shoulder in the team’s Week 1 loss. He was placed on injured reserve last week.

Kessler is currently the only healthy quarterback on the Browns’ roster. The team is expected to sign a free agent for depth.
