The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be without wide receiver Louis Murphy for the rest of the year after head coach Lovie Smith confirmed the seven-year veteran tore his right ACL.
Murphy suffered the injury early in the Bucs’ loss to Washington Sunday after being tackled by cornerback Bashaud Breeland following a 29-yard catch.
Murphy had 10 receptions for 198 yards this season. For his career, the 28-year-old former fourth-round draft pick has 162 catches for 2,322 yards and 10 scores.
