The Eskimos’ high powered offense put up big numbers last week, but it was an unlikely quarterback that led in Fantasy points. Here is the best of Week Four in TSN Fantasy Football, CFL Edition, presented by Moores.

The Best of Week Four:

Passers

Jonathan Jennings, BC –This week in Saskatchewan, the 23-year-old displayed all his abilities. In the throwing department, Jennings completed 25 of 40 passes for a career high 429 yards and three touchdowns. He also showed off his ground game in the 40-27 victory over the Roughriders, rushing 5 times for 30 yards and a touchdown.

Mike Reilly, Edmonton – The impressive start continued for the pivot in Winnipeg. Reilly connected on 32 of 45 passes for 465 yards and two touchdowns in a 20-16 win against the Blue Bombers. So far this season, the 31-year-old is averaging 408.6 passing yards per game.

Trevor Harris, Ottawa – Oh, what could have been? The Redblacks QB put on a throwing clinic against his former team, the Toronto Argonauts. Harris completed 28 of 31 passes for 392 yards and no passing touchdowns, but found the end zone with his legs in the 30-20 win. Harris leads the league in passing yards (1,475), touchdowns (9) and completion percentage (82.5%).

Runners

CJ Gable, Hamilton – The starting running back finally had a game that met expectation. Gable gained 98 yards on 21 touches and a score in a 31-7 victory over the Alouettes.

Brandon Whitaker, Toronto – The eight-year veteran, “Mr.Reliable,” has been the perfect security blanket early on for quarterback Ricky Ray. He compiled 72 yards on 11 touches to go along a receiving touchdown in the team’s home loss.

Anthony Allen, BC – In a game that was about the quarterback and wide receiver play, Anthony had a quiet but solid fantasy performance in his second consecutive start. He carried the ball 11 times for 61 yards and a score.

Andrew Harris, Winnipeg – The Winnipeg native eclipsed the century mark for the fourth straight game. Harris piled up 110 yards on 14 touches in a home loss to Edmonton. He has 434 yards in total through four games.

Receivers

Greg Ellingson, Ottawa – All the focus was on Chris Williams going into Week Four, but it was Ellingson who led the Redblacks attack against Toronto. He tied a career high with nine catches for a whopping career high 218 yards. The 27-year-old sits second in the CFL in receiving yards.

Derel Walker, Edmonton – Not too far behind Ellingson in fantasy points was Walker. He brought down seven balls for 154 yards and a score against the Blue Bombers. The score came off a career long 74 yard catch and run.

Adarius Bowman, Edmonton – Walker’s running mate in Bowman didn’t get over shadowed to say the least. The big receiver caught 10 passes for 185 yards at Winnipeg. Chris Williams is first in the league in receiving yards, but Bowman leads the CFL in average receiving yards per game with 144.

Shawn Gore, BC – In Jennings’ best game as a pivot in his young career, Gore was one of the wide outs that benefited the most in Saskatchewan. The veteran made six catches for 109 yards and a touchdown. The Canadian is having the best start in his career with 22 catches for 341 yards so far.

Notes

Before Roughriders QB Darian Durant was knocked out against the Lions with an ankle injury he was impressive, completing 7 of 10 passes for 104 yards and a touchdown…  Acquired by Saskatchewan two weeks ago, Mitchell Gale was solid in relief of Durant (17 of 30 for 247 yards, 1 TD)… Roughrider receiver Naaman Roosevelt made eight receptions for 132 yards and teammate Rob Bagg had 44 receiving yards plus a TD…. The third weapon in Edmonton Corey Watson scored a touchdown and had 48 receiving years... BC wide receivers Nick Moore compiled 88 yards and a touchdown, while Bryan Burnham accumulated 103 yards in the road victory… Redblacks RB Nic Grigsby gained 51 yards on 12 carries against Toronto, plus scored his first TD since 2014… In a losing cause to the Eskimos, Blue Bombers wide out Rory Kohlert made four catches for 40 yards in addition of finding the end zone...Blue Bombers WR Ryan Smith will be out for a couple of weeks with a lower-body injury.
