Copenhagen needed an own-goal in the second half to kick-start a 4-0 victory over Club Brugge in Group G of the Champions League on Tuesday.

After a dull first half in which Copenhagen had most of the scoring chances, the home team only really came to life after Club Brugge defender Stefano Denswil slid in to divert Peter Ankersen's cross past his own goalkeeper, Ludovic Butelle, in the 53rd minute.

The Belgian keeper then saved a penalty taken by Ludwig Augustinsson but it was only a brief respite. In the 64th, Thomas Delaney fired home a left-foot shot from 30 metres.

Federico Santander volleyed in the third goal five minutes later, and Mathias Jorgensen completed the scoring in stoppage time.
