COMMERCE CITY, Colo. - The Vancouver Whitecaps' three-game winning streak is over.

Kevin Doyle scored his first MLS goal for the Colorado Rapids as they edged Vancouver 2-1 on Saturday.

The win snapped a six-game winless streak for Colorado.

"I thought we done enough to probably win the game," said Whitecaps coach Carl Robinson, whose team wrapped up a five-game road trip.

"I think some of our performance levels weren't what we have been in the last three games, and unfortunately we haven't picked up any points tonight."

Doyle put Colorado in front with a header off the bottom right corner of the post in the 56th minute. The Rapids' previous win came on May 23, when they beat Vancouver 1-0.

Colorado's Vicente Sanchez opened the scoring off a cross from Luis Solignac in the second minute.

Vancouver (10-7-2), which had won three in a row, tied it 18 minutes later when Kekuta Manneh put away a high-arcing cross from Mauro Rosales.

"We gave away two poor goals which could have been avoided and if you give up bad goals then you're never going to win games and that's what happened today," said Robinson.

The Whitecaps finish the road trip collecting nine out of a possible 15 points. Vancouver is tied for first in the Western Conference alongside Seattle Sounders FC with 32 points.

Colorado (3-6-9), which came into the match having scored a league-low 12 goals, posted its first multigoal game since a 4-0 win over FC Dallas on April 20.
