DeMar DeRozan's time in Toronto is over after he spent the first nine years of his career in a Raptors uniform.

The Raptors have made the playoffs in each of the past five seasons, with DeRozan leading the team in scoring in each of those five seasons.

According to ESPN, DeRozan was informed by the Raptors earlier this summer he would not be traded and the trade does not appear to be sitting well with the four-time All-Star.

"Be told one thing & outcome another. Can't trust em. Ain't no loyalty in this game," DeRozan posted on his Instagram story. "Sell you out quit for a little bit of nothing...soon you'll understand... Don't disturb..."

Former Raptors Terrence Ross and DeMarre Carroll took to Twitter to express their appreciation for DeRozan, with both players calling on the city to honour the shooting guard.

"No matter what...When I think of Toronto Raptors Basketball... I think of DeMar Derozan," Caroll wrote on Twitter Wednesday. "He deserves a statue."

"Dear fans of Toronto," Ross wrote. "It’s time you guys build a statue of @DeMar_DeRozan Regardless of what happens. He deserves it."

Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Marcus Stroman also took to twitter to express his support for DeRozan.

"Man. Loved everything about @DeMar_DeRozan’s game and passion for the city," Stroman wrote. "Going to miss showing up to the ACC, watch him go for 40 with the smoothest mid-range game in the league. Wishing you nothing but the best my brother. Respect everything you represent and stand for!"
