"The Hamburglar" doesn't have to steal the burgers anymore to get them for free.

According to TSN Ottawa reporter Brent Wallace, Senators goaltender Andrew Hammond, who has led his team back into the playoff hunt with a 10-0-1 record, says he will be given a card that gets him free McDonald's for life.

The father of Hammond's coach at Bowling Green State University owns several Golden Arches in the Ottawa area and apparently likes the free publicity for the famed burger thief painted on the goaltender's mask.

Hammond said after the Sens' 2-1 shootout win over the Philadelphia Flyers on Sunday that he has yet to receive a card or any other notifications.

"If the hockey thing doesn't work out at least I've got a meal plan," he said.
