The Toronto Raptors will make the playoffs and have an NBA-best 36.7 per cent chance of winning the Larry O’Brien Trophy, at least according to John Hollinger's playoff odds

Hollinger’s odds use his power rankings on ESPN.com - in which the Raptors are currently ranked first and has a 68.2 per cent chance of making the NBA Finals - to run computer simulations that play out the remainder of the NBA season 5,000 times to determine projected outcomes.

According to Hollinger’s odds, the Raptors are the only NBA team with a 100 per cent chance of making the playoffs. The Golden State Warriors are second with a 99.4 per cent chance, followed by the Portland Trail Blazers at 99.2 per cent.

The Raptors' biggest competition in the East comes from the Washington Wizards (98.3 per cent playoff chance) and Cleveland Cavaliers (94.9 per cent playoff chance). The Wizards have a 9.9 per cent chance of reaching the Finals and two per cent chance of winning it all. LeBron James's Cavaliers own a 9.7 per cent chance of making the Finals and also have a two per cent chance of being crowned champions.

The Raptors' best projected record is 76-6, while their worst is 45-37.
