The Carolina Hurricanes have re-signed Derek Ryan to one-year, $1.425 million deal.

A Masterton finalist, Ryan finished with 11 goals and 18 assists in 67 games for the Hurricanes last season.

Ryan was 24th on TSN Hockey's Top Free Agent List.

It was the 30-year-old's first full season of action in the NHL.
