DETROIT - Cleveland Indians starter Carlos Carrasco left Sunday's game against the Detroit Tigers in the third inning with a hamstring injury.

The right-hander ran to first base to try to beat Andrew Romine on a ground ball. He had to turn to catch Carlos Santana's throw and hit the bag at an awkward angle.

Carrasco recorded the out but crumpled to the ground, grabbing the back of his left leg. After several minutes of treatment, he was helped off the field. He was able to put only minimal weight on his leg.

Trevor Bauer replaced Carrasco with two out in the third in a scoreless game.
