TORONTO - The Toronto Blue Jays recalled infielder Munenori Kawasaki from the Buffalo Bisons on Tuesday and optioned reliever Steve Delabar to the triple-A club.

Kawasaki, 33, has appeared in 44 games for the Bisons this season. He has a .276 average with 11 doubles, one triple and nine RBIs.

He had a .250 average in three games with the Blue Jays earlier this season.

Delabar, 30, has appeared in 29 games this year. He has a 3-0 record with a 4.68 earned-run average.
