Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning has denied allegations that he received human growth hormone (HGH) from an Indianapolis-area clinic in 2011.

The bombshell claims come from an Al-Jazeera investigative report that will be released on Sunday, The Huffington Post reported on Saturday night.

The Dark Side: Secrets of the Sports Dopers will air on Sunday night on Al-Jazeera America. In it, Liam Collins, a British hurdler, went undercover “to expose the widespread nature of performance-enhancing drugs in global sports.”

As part of the report, Charlie Sly, a pharmacist who worked at the Guyer Clinic, claims that he was part of a team that sent Manning's wife, Ashley, HGH as the then-Indianapolis Colt was recovering from surgery. Manning missed the entirety of the 2011 season after undergoing neck surgery.

“All the time we would be sending Ashley Manning drugs,” Sly says in a video in which he was being secretly recorded. “Like growth hormone, all the time, everywhere, Florida. And it would never be under Peyton’s name, it would always be under her name.”

The hormone has been a banned substance in the National Football League as of the 2011 collective bargaining agreement. The league began testing for the drug a season ago.

Manning, 39, issued a statement later on Saturday.

"The allegation that I would do something like that is complete garbage and is totally made up making stuff up," the statement read. "It never happened. Never. I really can't believe somebody would put something like this on the air. Whoever said this is making stuff up."

Manning is not the only high-profile athlete named in the report.

Philadelphia Philles first baseman Ryan Howard, Ryan Zimmerman of the Washington Nationals, Green Bay Packers linebackers Julius Peppers and Clay Matthews, Jr., as well as former heavyweight champion boxer Mike Tyson all received drugs from Sly.

Manning, a five-time MVP and 14-time Pro Bowler, has only made nine starts for the Broncos this season, sidelined by a foot injury.

The Broncos are 10-4 and sit atop the AFC West, a game up on the Kansas City Chiefs. They can clinch a playoff spot with a win on Monday night against the visiting Cincinnati Bengals.
