OTTAWA - Travis Konecny had a pair of goals and added two assists as the Ottawa 67's scored six times in the second period to beat the Windsor Spitfires 8-4 on Friday night in Ontario Hockey League action.

Travis Barron and Sam Studnicka also had two goals apiece for Ottawa (20-17-2). Ben Fanjoy and Taylor Davis rounded out the attack, while Leo Lazarev turned aside 43 shots.

Luca Venuto struck twice for the Spitfires (16-22-1), who saw a three-game winning streak come to an end. Jamie Lewis and Hayden McCool also scored.

Alex Fotinos started in goal for Windsor and stopped 23-of-30 shots in 40 minutes. Brendan Johnston made six saves in 17:56 of relief.

The 67's scored once on three power-play opportunities. The Spitfires converted twice on six chances.

KINGTON, Ont. — Evan McEneny and Samuel Schutt both scored in the shootout as the Frontenacs snapped Oshawa's three-game winning streak.

Roland McKeown and Juho Lammikko had goals in regulation for Kingston (15-16-5).

Tobias Lindberg and Sam Harding found the back of the net for the No. 1 nationall-ranked Generals (30-5-2).

PLYMOUTH, Mich. — Sonny Milano had a four-point night with two goals as the Whalers scored three times in the third period to beat North Bay.

Connor Chatham, Josh Wesley, Yannick Rathgeb and Gianluca Curcuruto supplied the rest of the offence for Plymouth (13-22-3).

Ryan Kujawinski, Mike Amadio and Nick Paul scored for the Battalion (19-10-7). It was their first regulation loss in five games.

SAGINAW, Mich. — Michael Bunting struck twice as Sault Ste. Marie downed the Spirit.

Keigan Goetz also scored for the No. 6 nationally-ranked Greyhounds (29-9-2), who opened the game with three-straight goals.

GUELPH, Ont. — Jimmy Lodge scored 56 seconds into overtime as Mississauga edged the Storm.

After a scoreless first period, Stephen Gibson opened the scoring late in the second with his first of the season for the Steelheads (18-18-3).

Tyler Bertuzzi answered 4:22 into the third period with his 23rd of the season for Guelph (22-14-3).

KITCHENER, Ont. — Jake Paterson turned away all 29 shots he faced as the Rangers shut out Belleville.

Darby Llewellyn struck twice for Kitchener (16-13-8) with Gustaf Franzen, Adam Mascherin and Connor Bunnaman rounding out the attack.

Charlie Graham played the first two periods in goal for the Bulls (18-17-4), making 35 saves on 40 shots. Connor Hicks played the third period and kicked out all 16 shots he faced. The Rangers outshot Belleville 56-29.

OTTERS 6 KNIGHTS 2

LONDON, Ont. — Connor McDavid scored once and added an assist as Erie dominated the Knights in a matchup between two nationally-ranked teams.

Nicholas Baptiste, Kyle Pettit, Darren Raddysh, Quentin Maksimovich and Nick Betz supplied the rest of the offence for the Otters (28-9-3). Dylan Strome added three assists for the No. 4 team, which also snapped a two-game losing skid.

Julius Bergman and Matt Rupert found the back of the net for No. 10 London (24-12-3).

SUDBURY, Ont. — Carter Verhaeghe scored two of Niagara's four first-period en route to beating the Wolves.

Brendan Perlini, Christopher Paquette and Mikkel Aagaard also found the back of the net for the IceDogs (16-21-2). Josh Ho-Sang added three assists for Niagara, which has now won four-straight games.

Bray Pataki, Pavel Jenys, Kyle Capobianco and Chad Heffernan supplied the offence for Sudbury (7-29-2).
