ERIE, Pa. - Michael McCarron scored 3:32 into overtime to push the Oshawa Generals to their sixth straight win with a 5-4 victory over the Ottawa 67's in Ontario Hockey League action on Tuesday.

Hunter Smith had a goal and two assists for Eastern Conference-leading Oshawa (37-7-2), which outshot its opponent 44-29. Bradley Latour scored one and helped on another, and Cole Cassels rounded out the attack with a short-handed goal in the third period.

Dante Salituro racked up four points to lead Ottawa (24-18-3) with a goal and three assists. Travis Konecny, Nathan Todd and Brendan Bell also scored as the 67's had their four-game winning streak snapped.

Generals goaltender Ken Appleby stopped 25 shots for the victory.

Ottawa's Liam Herbst made 39 saves in the losing effort.

Oshawa was held scoreless on five power-play opportunities while the 67's had a goal on five attempts with the man advantage.
