OHL: Meireles has four points, Rangers beat Spirit
Greg Meireles had two goals and two assists as the Kitchener Rangers beat the Saginaw Spirit 6-2 on Friday night in Ontario Hockey League action.

KITCHENER, Ont. — Greg Meireles had two goals and two assists as the Kitchener Rangers beat the Saginaw Spirit 6-2 on Friday night in Ontario Hockey League action.
Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Jeremy Bracco scored once and added two assists for the Rangers (5-1-1). Dylan Seitz, Connor Bunnaman and Dylan Di Perna also chipped in.
Tye Felhaber and Mitchell Stephens found the back of the net for Saginaw (1-6-1).
Dawson Carty stopped 33 shots for the win in net. Evan Cormier took the loss after turning away 21-of-26 shots in 45:49. Brendan Bonello finished the game and made eight saves.
Kitchener scored twice on eight power plays and held the Spirit scoreless on their four chances with the man advantage.

FLINT, Mich. — Luke Kirwan scored twice and added an assist while Everett Clark had a goal and two helpers as the Firebirds edged Mississauga.
Cullen Mercer and Ryan Moore had the others for Flint (5-2-1), which got 31 saves from Garrett Forrest. Alex Peters tacked on three assists.
Owen Tippett struck twice with Brendan Harrogate and Sean Day also scoring for the Steelheads (3-5-0). Michael McLeod added three assists and Jacob Ingham stopped 17 shots.
Ryan Moore of the Firebirds received a game misconduct following a major penalty for checking to the head.

SUDBURY, Ont. — Dmitry Sokolov had a hat trick and an assist as the Wolves got past Hamilton.
Michael Pezzetta struck twice and Alan Lyszczarczyk also scored for Sudbury (5-2-1). Jake McGrath made 36 saves.
Connor Roberts, Isaac Nurse, Trent Fox and Matthew Strome provided the offence for the Bulldogs (6-2-0). Cole Ceci turned away 29 shots.

SARNIA, Ont. — Anthony Salinitri and Jordan Ernst had a goal and an assist each while Justin Fazio made 28 saves as the Sting beat Barrie.
Ryan McGregor, Jaden Lindo and Nikita Korostelev also scored for Sarnia (7-2-1).
Jason Willms and Cordell James found the back of the net for the Colts (3-5-1). David Ovsjannikov took the loss after turning away 11-of-15 shots in 24:13. Christian Propp went the rest of the way and made 16 saves.
Barrie's Tyler Tucker was ejected in the second period after a major penalty for cross checking. Teammate Adrian Carbonara was also given a game misconduct in the second following a minor penalty for slashing.

GUELPH, Ont. — Ivan Lodnia scored the only goal in the shootout as Erie slipped past the Storm.
Kyle Maksimovich forced extra time when he tied the game 3-3 at 19:42 of the third period for the Otters (5-3-0). Taylor Raddysh had a power-play goal and Christian Girhiny had the other. Jake Lawr turned away 34 shots in net.
Nate Schnarr, Albert Michnac and Givani Smith supplied the offence for Guelph (3-5-1). Liam Herbst made 34 saves.
