NORTH BAY, Ont. - Jake Smith and Mike Amadio were all the North Bay Battalion needed on Thursday night.

Smith stopped all 18 shots he faced and Amadio scored twice as North Bay shut out the Sudbury Wolves 3-0 in Ontario Hockey League action.

Alex Henriksson had the other goal for the Battalion (11-5-4). Amadio scored his two goals 4:23 apart in the third period.

Samuel Tanguay made 33 saves for Sudbury (4-18-0).

The Wolves did not score on their four power plays, while North Bay went 0 for 2 with the man advantage.

PETERBOROUGH, Ont. — Sergey Tolchinsky and Keigan Goetz both scored twice as Sault Ste. Marie raced past the Petes.

Edmonton Oilers prospect Darnell Nurse, Jared McCann and Jean Dupuy chipped in as well for the Greyhounds (16-5-0).

Dominik Masin, Nick Ritchie and Connor Boland replied for Peterborough (6-10-3).

STING 5 SPITFIRES 3

WINDSOR, Ont. — Nikita Korostelev's short-handed goal with just under six minutes to play in the third period was the winner as Sarnia downed the Spitfires.

Daniel Nikandrov scored 4:40 later for the Sting (8-10-2), who built a 3-0 lead in the first on goals from Davis Brown, Kevin Spinozzi and Hayden Hodgson.

Slater Doggett struck twice for Windsor (7-12-1). Logan Brown also scored.
