WINDSOR, Ont. - Carter Verhaeghe scored his sixth goal in his past six games as the Niagara IceDogs downed the host Windsor Spitfires 3-1 on Sunday in Ontario Hockey League action.

The Toronto Maple Leafs prospect has picked up his scoring pace as of late with eight goals and 17 points in his past nine outings, which has bumped him into Top-20 in league scoring with 64 points in 54 games.

Jordan Maletta and Blake Siebenaler also scored for the IceDogs (26-24-4) while Josh Ho-Sang added two assists.

Ho-Sang, who was traded to Niagara earlier in the season from Windsor, also has 64 points to tie Verhaeghe for the team lead in scoring — however his have come in 46 games split between the two clubs.

Trevor Murphy scored the lone goal for the Spitfires (22-29-2).

Niagara's Brandon Hope made 27 saves for the win as Alex Fotinos turned away 34-of-37 shots for Windsor.

The IceDogs went 0 for 3 on the power play while the Spitfires scored once on four chances with the man advantage.

NORTH BAY, Ont. — Miles Liberati, Mathew Santos and Marcus McIvor each had a goal and an assist as the Battalion toppled Sudbury.

Ryan Kujawinksi and Alex Henriksson also scored for North Bay (28-13-11) as Jake Smith turned aside 16 shots for the victory.

Pavel Jenys and Jeff Corbett supplied the offence for the Wolves (9-42-2), who got a 40-save outing from Samuel Tanguay.

OTTAWA — Liam Herbst only had to stop 16 shots and Nathan Todd's goal 1:42 into the game stood up as the winner as the 67's blanked Kingston.

Sam Studnicka and Ben Fanjoy also scored for Ottawa (30-20-3), which extended its win streak to four games, and Jacob Middleton tacked on two assists.

Lucas Perassini kicked out 19-of-21 shots for the Frontenacs (20-23-8), who have just three wins in their past 10 contests.
