BOISBRIAND, Que. - Chase Marchand has put his name into the record books.

The Rouyn-Noranda goaltender set a new Quebec Major Junior Hockey League playoff record by not allowing a goal in his last 215 minutes of play as the Huskies shut out the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada 3-0 in Game 4 of their second round playoff series on Wednesday night.

Marchand, who made 20 saves against the Armada, also recorded shutouts in Games 2 and 3 of the best-of-seven series. The last goal he allowed was in Game 1.

Former Halifax Moosehead Guillaume Lavallee previously set the record in 2003.

Jean-Christophe Beaudin led the offence with a pair of power-play goals as the Huskies took a 3-1 series lead. Martins Dzierkals had the other in the first while Anthony-John Greer tacked on three assists.

Samuel Montembeault started in net for Blainville-Boisbriand, but was pulled after kicking out 30-of-33 shots in 40 minutes. Francis Leclerc made 12 saves in relief.

Rouyn-Noranda was 2 for 5 on the power play with the Armada going scoreless on three chances with the man advantage.

WILDCATS 2 OLYMPIQUES 1 (OT)

MONCTON, N.B. — Cameron Askew scored 9:17 into overtime as the Wildcats edged Gatineau to even their second round series at 2-2.

Manuel Wiederer opened the scoring in regulation for the Wildcats, who got 31 saves from Keven Bouchard.

Alexandre Alain forced extra time for Gatineau with a goal at 19:47 of the third period. Mathieu Bellemare turned aside 26-of-28 shots in defeat.

Olympiques forward Samuel Tremblay received a game misconduct for checking to the head at 10:49 of the third period.
