SAINT JOHN, N.B. — Jordan Maher struck twice and Reilly Pickard made 37 saves as the Acadie-Bathurst Titan beat the Saint John Sea Dogs 3-1 on Wednesday night in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

Jeffrey Truchon-Viel added an empty netter for the Titan (5-4-2).

Mathieu Joseph opened the scoring on the power play for Saint John (7-3-1). Alex Bishop turned aside 25-of-27 shots in defeat.

Acadie-Bathurst was scoreless on two power plays while the Sea Dogs went 1 for 4.

QUEBEC CITY — Alexis D'Aoust had a goal and four assists and Mikhail Denisov stopped all 14 shots he faced as Shawnigan won its ninth straight by shutting out the Remparts.

Cavan Fitzgerald scored twice and Samuel Girard added a goal and two assists for the Cataractes (9-1-0). Dennis Yan and Jonathan Deschamps rounded out the attack.

Callum Booth kicked out 15-of-20 shots in 29:07 before giving way to Evgeny Kiselev, who made 17 saves for Quebec (5-5-1).

ISLANDERS 3 TIGRES 1

VICTORIAVILLE, Que. — Pierre-Olivier Joseph scored the winner on the power play and Blade Mann-Dixon made 30 saves as Charlottetown got past the Tigres.

Jake Barter and Jake Coughler, into an empty net, also scored for the Islanders (7-3-1).

Maxime Comtois found the back of the net for Victoriaville (5-6-0). Olivier Tremblay turned away 30-of-32 shots.

RIMOUSKI, Que. — Dylan Montcalm had a goal and three assists as the Oceanic edged Blainville-Boisbriand.

Justin Pare, Tyler Boland, Alexandre Renaud and Hunter Moreau supplied the rest of the offence for Rimouski (6-4-0), which won its third in a row. Jimmy Lemay earned the win in relief by stopping 18-of-19 shots in 45:54. Alexandre Legace started but was pulled after kicking out 4-of-7 shots.

Thomas Ethier, Axel Simic, Yvan Mongo and Jeremy Roy scored for the Armada (6-1-1), who suffered their first regulation loss of the season. Samuel Montembeault made 26 saves in net.
