SHAWINIGAN, Que. - Philippe Sanche and Danick Martel each had a goal and three assists as the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada beat the Shawinigan Cataractes 7-5 on Sunday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

Nikita Jevpalovs scored twice and added an assist for the Armada (37-14-8). Emil Aronsson, Matteo Pietroniro and Yvan Mongo supplied the rest of the offence.

Giovanni Fiore had a late goal in the first for Shawinigan (31-22-3). Gabriel Slight, Dylan Labbe and Anthony Beauvillier would chip in with goals in the second. Alex Pawelczyk also scored.

Samuel Montembeault turned away 28 shots in goal for the win. Antoine Samuel kicked out 18-of-24 shots in 58:56 for the Cataractes.

Blainville-Boisbriand converted four times on eight power plays and was able to hold Shawinigan scoreless on five chances with the man advantage.

SAINT JOHN, N.B. — Samuel Dove-McFalls and Spencer Smallman each had a goal and an assist as the Sea Dogs downed Acadie-Bathurst.

Jakub Zboril and Mathieu Joseph scored in the first period for Saint John (29-20-9).

Egor Popov responded with a goal in the second for the Titan (15-37-6).

David Storto had the other goal for the Phoenix (32-21-5) in the first.

Julien Gauthier would get Val-d'Or (27-22-8) on the board in the first before Anthony Richard, Nicolas Aube-Kubel and Alexis Pepin blew the game open with goals in the second. Olivier Desjardins and Simon Tremblay added goals in the third.

Callum Booth kicked out 40 shots for the Remparts (35-20-3).

Jeremie Fraser of the Foreurs was ejected at 14:30 of the third period for unsportmanlike conduct.
