BATHURST, N.B. - Jeffrey Truchon-Viel scored 2:26 into overtime as the Acadie-Bathurst Titan surprised the Saint John Sea Dogs 2-1 on Tuesday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

Christophe Boivin also scored for the Titan (26-34-6), who snapped a three-game slide and beat the Sea Dogs for just the third time in nine matchups this season.

Acadie-Bathurst holds the 16th and final seed for the QMJHL playoffs and are 32 points back of Saint John in the standings.

Thomas Chabot opened the scoring for the Sea Dogs (42-18-6), who clinched the Maritimes Division and currently hold the third seed heading into the post-season. A victory would have moved Saint John ahead of Shawinigan for second.

Acadie-Bathurst's Reilly Pickard made 34 saves for the win as Marc-Antoine Turcotte turned away 29-of-31 shots for the Sea Dogs.

The Titan went 2 for 5 on the power play while Saint John scored once on four chances with the man advantage.
