MONCTON, N.B. - Manuel Wiederer scored three goals and set up another as the Moncton Wildcats downed the Saint John Sea Dogs 7-4 on Wednesday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

Zack MacEwen had a goal and two assists for the Wildcats (35-19-10) while Kelly Klima, Will Smith and Vaclav Karabacek added the others.

Daniel Del Paggio, Nathan Noel, Matthew Highmore and Oliver Felixson supplied the offence for the Sea Dogs (41-17-5), who entered 5-0-1 in their last six outings.

Moncton's Keven Bouchard made 32 saves for the win as Marc-Antoine Turcotte turned away 29-of-36 shots for Saint John.

The Wildcats went 2 for 5 on the power play while the Sea Dogs scored once on five chances with the man advantage.

ROUYN-NORANDA, Que. — Jean-Christophe Beaudin and Alexandre Fortin had two goals apiece as the league-best Huskies extended their win streak to 10 games by beating Val-d'Or.

Franic Perron had a goal and three assists, Timo Meier had a goal and two helpers and Jeremy Lauzon scored once to round out the offence for Rouyn-Noranda (50-9-5). Samuel Harvey made 21 saves for the win.

Alexis Pepin, Jack Van Boekel and Shawn Ouellette-St-Amant scored for the Foreurs (47-13-4). Etienne Monpetit kicked out 31-of-38 shots in defeat.

SHAWINIGAN, Que. — Anthony Beauvillier and Danny Moynihan each had a pair of goals as the Cataractes handed Rimouski its third loss in a row.

Brandon Gignac, Alexis D'Aoust and Gabriel Gagne also scored for Shawinigan (42-18-4), which got a 30-save performance from Philippe Cadorette.

Alexandre Grise found the back of the net for the Oceanic (33-25-6). Louis-Philip Guindon allowed six goals on 24 shots before giving way to Alexandre Lagace, who stopped 16-of-17 shots in 29:16 of relief.

SHERBROOKE, Que. — Nicolas Roy had a hat trick and Xavier Potvin made 40 saves as Chicoutimi doubled up the Phoenix.

Julien Pelletier and Hugo Roy struck for Sherbrooke (23-31-9). Evan Fitzpatrick kicked out 20-of-23 shots in defeat.
