CHICOUTIMI, Que. - Stephen Johnson scored twice in the third period, including the winner at 17:05, as the Moncton Wildcats edged the host Chicoutimi Sagueneens 4-3 on Thursday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League playoff action.

Zachary Malatesta and Connor Garland also scored for the Wildcats, who lead the best-of-seven first-round series 3-1.

Laurent Dauphin scored three times for the Sagueneens, who led 3-1 early in the third before blowing their lead. Gabryel Paquin-Boudreau picked up three assists.

Moncton's Alex Dubeau made 27 saves for the win as Julio Billia stopped 35-of-39 shots for Chicoutimi.

The Wildcats went 1 for 5 on the power play while the Sagueneens converted once on three chances with the man advantage.

Moncton will try and wrap up the series Saturday when Chicoutimi hosts Game 5.

SEA DOGS 4 DRAKKAR 2

SAINT JOHN, N.B. — Sebastien Auger made 31 saves and the Sea Dogs scored three times on the power play to double up Baie-Comeau in Game 4 of their first-round series.

Daniel Del Paggio, Jakub Zboril and Mark Tremaine scored on the man advantage for Saint John, which trails the series 3-1, and Nathan Noel added another at even strength.

Dzmitry Ambrozheichik and Jasmin Boutet supplied the scoring for the Drakkar, who got a 24-save outing from Philippe Cadorette.

The Sea Dogs host Game 5 on Saturday.

REMPARTS 6 SCREAMING EAGLES 5

SYDNEY, N.S. — Dmytro Timashov's third-period goal stood up as the winner and he tacked on two assists as Quebec took Game 4 to even its first-round matchup against Cape Breton.

Jerome Verrier, Marcus Cuomo, Matt Murphy, Marc-Olivier Roy and Anthony Duclair also scored for the Remparts while Nikolas Brouillard tacked on three assists. Zachary Fucale made 15 saves for the win.

Jacob Smith struck twice for the Screaming Eagles, who also got goals from Loik Leveille, Stephen Anderson and Clark Bishop. Alexandre Belanger allowed four goals on 16 shots in 23:56 of action. Miguel Sullivan took the loss after stopping 19-of-21 shots in relief.

Cape Breton welcomes Quebec for Game 5 on Friday.
