Thanks to a spring snowstorm in Edmonton, Wednesday night's Amway Championship game between the Vancouver Whitecaps and FC Edmonton has been postponed.

Despite saying he was willing to compete in snow-covered conditions, Bob Lenarduzzi's Whitecaps squad will be forced to travel back to Vancouver without settiing a foot on the pitch, with the game in Edmonton re-scheduled for May 20.

The opener of the two-leg, total-goals tie will now be played in Vancouver on May 13.

The Whitecaps have never won the Voyageurs Cup. The winner of the series with Edmonton will face either Toronto FC or the Montreal Impact in the national final with a spot in the 2016–17 CONCACAF Champions League on the line.
