Toronto Raptors head coach Dwane Casey has been named the NBA Eastern Conference’s Coach of the Month for November.

He is the first coach in team history to win the award twice. Casey was previously honoured in December 2013.

Other Raptors’ coaches to receive the honour include Lenny Wilkens (April 2002) and Sam Mitchell (January 2007).

The Raptors currently sit atop the Eastern Conference with a 13-4 record, a franchise-best. The team also got off to its best road record in team history through it's first five games at 4-1, rallying three times from double-digit deficits.

Casey led Toronto to the league's second best offence in the month, averaging 108.5 points per game.

Dave Joerger of the Memphis Grizzlies won the award in the Western Conference.
