The NBA announced that Toronto Raptors guard Lou Williams has been named Eastern Conference Player of the Week (November 17-23).

Williams is the sixth Raptors player to ever win the award, joining Vince Carter (seven times), Chris Bosh (seven times), Mike James, Jalen Rose and Kyle Lowry.

This was Williams' first time winning the award.

He scored a career-high 36 points in Saturday's win over the Cleveland Cavaliers and was the first player in team history to go 15-for-15 from the free throw line.

In 13 games this season, Williams is averaging 13.4 points per game, the most among non-starters in the Eastern Conference. He has scored in double figures in nine of the last 10 games.

DeMarcus Cousins of the Sacramento Kings won the award in the Western Conference.
