The Toronto Blue Jays have another person in mind for the general manager position, according to Toronto Sun columnist Bob Elliott.

Los Angeles Dodgers senior vice president Josh Byrnes is said to be the newest name in the running.

Cleveland Indians vice president of player personnel Ross Atkins and Toronto's interim GM Tony LaCava are the other potential candidates for the job left vacant by the departure of Alex Anthopoulos at the end of October.

Byrnes has held two previous GM positions, first with Arizona Diamondbacks from 2006 to 2010 and later with the San Diego Padres from 2011 to 2014.
