The Green Bay Packers appear to be ready to breathe a sigh of relief when it comes to the status of wide receiver Randall Cobb.

According to ESPN, Cobb suffered an AC joint sprain against the Philadelphia Eagles on Saturday and may play in Week 1.

Cobb was injured on the Packers third play from scrimmage, falling on his right shoulder while attempting to make a catch. He intially feared he suffered a broken collarbone.

The Packers lost wide receiver Jordy Nelson for the season due to a torn ACL in Week 2 of the preseaon. Both Nelson and Cobb posted more than 1,200 yards receiving last season.

The injuries to the stars have opened opportunities for players lower on the depth chart. Receiver Miles White recorded nine catches for 89 yards against the Eagles, while 2014 seventh-rounder Jeff Janis had three catches for 72 yards and a touchdown. Ty Montgomery, a third-round pick in May, caught two passes for 71 yards.

The Packers open their season against the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field on September 13.
