Steven Gerrard is set to join the Los Angeles Galaxy on an 18-month contract, accoring to ESPN FC.

According to a separate report in The Washington Post, the deal is worth a reported $6 million per year.

Gerrard, 34, has spent his entire soccer career with Liverpool, joining the club's Youth Academy in 1987.

He has appeared in 494 career games with the top squad, debuting in 1998. He was named captain in 2003 and also captained England's national team between 2012 and 2014.

Gerrard has scored 116 league goals for Liverpool and a total of 180, factoring in Domestic and European competitions. He has scored 21 goals and earned 114 caps for England.

He ranks third in all-time appearances for the club with 713 across all competitions, trailing only Jamie Carragher and Ian Callaghan. His 184 goals put him fifth on the team's all-time list, ahead of Robbie Fowler. He is Liverpool's all-time most-capped international.
