Myles Jack, who slipped out of the first round of the NFL Draft on Thursday night due to medical concerns, has reportedly received good news.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter Dr. James Andrews has informed the linebacker he does not need micro-fracture surgery on his injured knee.

Concerns of a possible surgery in the future scared teams off from drafting Jack on Thursday night. He was projected to be a top-10 pick.

Jack, a versatile athlete, also played running back while in college. His Junior season ended after just three games due to a torn meniscus.

Andrews is widely viewed as the top surgeon in professional sports.

Jack spent Thursday night in the green room at the draft waiting for his name to be called. Schefter reports he will not return to the draft on Friday night, opting instead to watch and wait from the privacy of a hotel.
