It appears the Saskatchewan Roughriders have locked up their top pass rusher for another two seasons.

According to a report from Rod Pederson of 620 CKRM in Saskatchewan, defensive end John Chick has signed a two-year contract extension with the Roughriders.

Rob Vanstone of the Regina Leader-Post added that the Roughriders are expected to soon announce the deal.

Chick led the league in sacks last year with 15, his second year back in the CFL after returning from the NFL in 2013.

The 32-year-old has 149 tackles and 42 sacks for his career, all five years spent in Saskatchewan. The Utah State product was named the Roughriders’ nominee for Most Outstanding Player and Most Outstanding Defensive Player last season.
