Michael Sam's CFL debut is drawing nearer.

Didier Orméjuste of RDS reports Sam will make his debut with the Montreal Alouettes sometime in August, and that head coach Tom Higgins hasn't decided yet if it will be mext week against the Calgary Stampeders.

Sam of course was the first openly gay player to be drafted in the NFL and signed with the Alouettes in the off-season this year. He returned home for a period of three weeks during training camp but returned late last month and has been with the team since.
