Former Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice has won his indefinite suspension appeal hearing and has been reinstated by NFL.

Rice's appeal hearing against the NFL took place on November 5, with commissioner Roger Goodell testifying for more than two hours.

Rice was suspended indefinitely Sept. 8 for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy after a video of him hitting his then-fiancee - and now wife - was released publicly.

Rice's appeal was on the basis the league had already suspended him two games for the offence intially.

Rice is now eligible to sign and play with any NFL team immediately.

Rice, a three-time Pro Bowl pick, played in two preseason games for the Ravens this year. His last carry was a 6-yard run against San Francisco on Aug. 7. He was released by the Ravens in early September.
