The Saskatchewan Roughriders have picked up defensive lineman Ese Mrabure-Ajufo and offensive lineman Dillon Guy from the BC Lions after the pair declined practice roster assignments.

Mrabure-Ajufo was the Lions' first round pick (fifth overall selection) in the 2015 Canadian draft and spent 13 weeks on the injured list last season. Had a good camp this year but the Wilfrid Laurier University alumni was beaten out by Maxx Forde, another Canadian draft pick from last year.

Guy was selected in‎ the fourth round of this year's draft, dropping far below most projections. He suffered a torn ACL last year at the University of Buffalo and had a slow start to camp, but improved as camp progressed.

The Roughriders must assign both players to the active roster, or to an injured list with full pay, for Week 1.

The ‎Lions are working to add their replacements to the practice roster.
