Sather steps down, Gorton becomes Rangers' GM
Glen Sather has stepped down from his role as General Manager of the New York Rangers but will stay with the team as the President of the organization. His former assistant, Jeff Gorton, has been named the new General Manager.

Glen Sather has stepped down from his role as General Manager of the New York Rangers. He will stay with the team as the President of the organization.
His former assistant, Jeff Gorton, has been named the ninth General Manager in club history.
Sather has acted as the Rangers’ President and General Manager since 2000.
