Philadelphia, PA - The Philadelphia 76ers waived forward Andrei Kirilenko on Saturday.

Kirilenko, 34, was acquired by Philadelphia in a trade from the Brooklyn Nets on Dec. 10, but he never appeared in a 76ers uniform. His last game with the Nets was on Nov. 13.

After the trade, it was reported that Kirilenko was expecting to be bought out by the 76ers and become a free agent, but that never materialized. On Jan. 9, Philadelphia suspended him for not reporting to the team.

Prior to the trade, Kirilenko played just 36 minutes in seven games for Brooklyn. In 13 seasons for the Nets, Utah Jazz and Minnesota Timberwolves, Kirilenko has averaged 11.8 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.8 blocks in 797 games.
