The Hamilton Tiger-Cats were defeated for just the second time at Tim Hortons Field but that may not be the biggest loss of the day.

Ticats QB Zach Collaros left the team's 25-18 loss to the Edmonton Eskimos in the second quarter with a knee injury.

According to Drew Edwards of the Hamilton Spectator, Ticats head coach Kent Austin wouldn't speculate on Collaros' injury but the fear is that he an ACL injury.

Collaros is expected to undergo an MRI on Monday to determine the extent of the injury.

"It's not good," Collaros told TSN's Matthew Scianitti as he made his way to the locker room after the injury.

Collaros was scrambling downfield when his knee appeared to give out and he was hit from behind, crumpled to the ground. He limped to the sidelines without assistance.

After speaking with the training staff, he had a word with head coach Kent Austin and backup quarterback Jeff Mathews before leaving for the locker room.

Before halftime, Collaros rejoined his teammates on the sidelines in training gear with ice on the knee and a noticeable limp.

Soon after the injury occurred, fellow quarterbacks Bo Levi Mitchell, Henry Burris and Trevor Harris offered their thoughts to Collaros on Twitter.
