LETHBRIDGE, Alta. - Jake DeBrusk scored two of his three goals in the second and Swift Current found the back of the net four times in the period as the Broncos beat the Lethbridge Hurricanes 5-3 on Friday night in Western Hockey League action.

Jay Merkley and Andreas Schumacher rounded out the attack for the Broncos (33-33-5). Landon Bow kicked out 43 shots for the win.

Giorgio Estephan, Jamal Watson and Mike Winther had goals for Lethbridge (20-43-8). Stuart Skinner stopped 33 shots in the loss as the Hurricanes dropped their seventh straight.

Swift Current went 1 for 2 with the man advantage while Lethbridge didn't have any power plays.

SPOKANE, Wash. — Ryan Gropp scored four times as Seattle routed the Chiefs to win its third straight.

Jerret Smith, Cory Millette and Nolan Volcan supplied the rest of the offence for the Thunderbirds (37-25-9).

Adam Helewka and Dominic Zwerger found the back of the net for Spokane (34-32-4).

Seattle's Shavan Khaira was ejected at 5:12 of the second period after receiving a major penalty for kneeing.

EDMONTON — Riley Sheen scored twice and had an assist as Red Deer beat the Oil Kings.

Brooks Maxwell had a goal and two assists for the Rebels (38-22-11). Nelson Nogier, Wyatt Johnson and Scott Feser had the others.

Brandon Baddock and Lane Bauer provided the offence for Edmonton (33-31-7).

REGINA — Kris Schmidli tied the game late in the third period and scored the only goal in the shootout as Prince Albert edged the Pats.

Jesse Lees, Brendan Guhle and Reid Gardiner also had goals for the Raiders (30-37-4).

Colby Williams had a goal and two assists for Regina (37-23-11). Jake Leschyshyn, Colton Kroeker and Pavel Padakin had the others.
