MEDICINE HAT, Alta. - Dryden Hunt and Cole Sanford scored in the shootout as the Medicine Hat Tigers topped the Regina Pats 5-4 in Western Hockey League action on Tuesday.

Markus Eisenschmid had two goals for the Tigers (36-15-3) in regulation, while Ty Schultz and Kyle Burroughs rounded out the offence.

Pavel Padakin struck twice for the Pats (30-17-7), who have come away with points in each of their last five games. Braden Christoffer and Austin Wagner also scored.

Tigers goaltender Marek Langhamer stopped 27 shots before turning away both Pats he faced in the shootout.

Regina's Daniel Wapple made 45 saves and stopped 1-of-3 Medicine Hat skaters in the shootout.

The Tigers were 1 for 4 on the power play while the Pats failed to score on four chances with the man advantage.

RAIDERS 2 BRONCOS 1

SWIFT CURRENT, Sask. — Mackenze Stewart's goal at 7:33 of the third period held up as the winner to lift Prince Albert over the Broncos.

Sean Montgomery opened the scoring for the Raiders (22-31-2).

Colby Cave scored for Swift Current (25-24-5) in the final second of the game.

CHIEFS 6 BLADES 3

SASKATOON — Liam Stewart struck twice, including an empty-net goal late in the third period, and Kailer Yamamoto had a goal and two assists to lead Spokane past the Blades.

Adam Helewka, with a goal and a helper, and Jacob Cardiff and Jackson Playfair rounded out the offence for the Chiefs (26-23-4).

Brycen Martin scored once and set up another for Saskatoon (15-34-3), which has dropped four straight. Nikita Soshnin and Cameron Hebig also scored.

THUNDERBIRDS 2 ROCKETS 1

SEATTLE — Jerret Smith scored a tie-breaking, power-play goal at 16:26 of the third period as the Thunderbirds slipped past Kelowna.

Matthew Barzal had the other goal for Seattle (28-20-6), and helped set up Smith's offering.

Nick Merkley replied for the Rockets (42-9-4), which failed to pick up points for the first time in 10 games.
