SPOKANE, Wash. - Brayden Low scored 3:43 into the third overtime period to lift the Everett Silvertips into the second round of the Western Hockey League playoffs with a 2-1 win over the Spokane Chiefs on Tuesday.

Carter Hart made 53 saves for the Silvertips, who took the best-of-seven series in six games. Kohl Bauml scored a power-play goal in the first period.

Spokane's Kailer Yamamoto tied the game with five seconds remaining in regulation.

Garret Hughson stopped 39 shots in the losing effort.

Everett was 1 for 5 on the power play. The Chiefs failed to score on their only opportunity with the man advantage.

The Silvertips will face the Portland Winterhawks in the second round.

WINTERHAWKS 5 THUNDERBIRDS 4 (OT)

KENT, Wash. — Nicolas Petan scored 19:01 into overtime and Adin Hill stopped 46 shots as Portland advanced to the second round with a Game 6 win over the Thunderbirds.

Oliver Bjorkstrand scored twice for the Winterhawks, Miles Koules had a goal and an assist and Dominic Turgeon also scored.

Scott Eansor had two goals for Seattle, Shea Theodore scored once and set up two more and Cory Millette rounded out the offence. Taran Kozun made 36 saves in the losing effort.
