REGINA — Sam Steel scored twice and set up three others as the Regina Pats downed the Red Deer Rebels 7-2 on Sunday in Western Hockey League action.

Braydon Buziak, Dawson Leedahl, Nick Henry, Jake Leschyshyn and Austin Wagner rounded out the offence for the Pats (3-0-1).

Tyler Brown stopped 30-of-32 shots for the win.

Grayson Pawlenchuk and Evan Polei scored for the Rebels (1-2-2), who got a 27-save outing from Riley Lamb.

Regina went 2 for 4 on the power play while Red Deer failed to score on seven chances with the man advantage.

BRONCOS 3 WHEAT KINGS 2

BRANDON — Glenn Gawdin's second-period goal was the difference as Swift Current edged the Wheat Kings.

Colby Sissons and Kade Jensen scored in the first for the Broncos (3-2-0) while Travis Child made 21 saves for the win.

Cole Reinhardt and Tyler Coulter scored for Brandon (1-1-1). Logan Thompson turned aside 27-of-30 shots in defeat.

RAIDERS 5 OIL KINGS 2

PRINCE ALBERT, Sask. — Sean Montgomery had a pair of goals and Rylan Parenteau made 33 saves as the Raiders toppled Edmonton.

Prince Albert (2-2-0) also got goals from Parker Kelly, Zack Andrusiak and Tim Vanstone.

Tyler Robertson and Colton Kehler scored for the Oil Kings (2-2-1). Patrick Dea kicked out 24-of-29 shots in defeat.

AMERICANS 3 SILVERTIPS 2 (OT)

KENNEWICK, Wash. — Michael Rasmussen scored 3:39 into overtime and Beck Warm made 33 saves as Tri-City slipped past Everett.

Vladislav Lukin and Juuso Valimaki scored in regulation for the Americans (2-2-0).

Eetu Tuulola and Matt Fonteyne responded for the Silvertips (3-0-1), who got a 24-save effort from Carter Hart.

GIANTS 3 BLAZERS 1

VANCOUVER — James Malm had a pair of goals as the Giants beat Kamloops for their first win of the season.

Brendan Shemchuk also scored for Vancouver (1-4-0) as Ryan Kubic stopped 28 shots for the victory.

Luke Zazula was the only Blazers (2-3-0) skater to beat Kubic. Connor Ingram turned away 22-of-25 shots in defeat.
