With free agency set to open on Tuesday, Montreal Alouettes receiver S.J. Green is offering free advice to general manager Jim Popp on Twitter.

Green expressed his disappointment with the Alouettes' inability to re-sign a number of players thus far, including linebacker Winston Venable and defensive back Jerald Brown.

As for the veteran Brown, 30-year-old Green would like to see the Alouettes sign him in an effort to make a Grey Cup run.

Recent free agent defensive end Shawn Lemon, who signed with the Saskatchewan Roughriders last month, then suggested Green take a pay cut to help the team financially.

Green is hoping the Alouettes re-sign some of the team's veterans before free agency gets rolling at Noon et.
