Avs, Grigorenko reach one-year deal
Mikhail Grigorenko and the Colorado Avalanche avoided arbitration with a one-year contract on Wednesday. The Denver Post reports 22-year-old will make $1.3 million next season, a significant raise from the $675,000 salary he received in 2015-16.

The Denver Post reports 22-year-old will make $1.3 million next season, a significant raise from the $675,000 salary he received in 2015-16.
The Avalanche and Grigorenko had been set to meet for an arbitration hearing on Friday in Toronto.
Grigorenko, acquired in the trade which sent Ryan O’Reilly and Jamie McGinn to the Buffalo Sabres last summer, scored six goals and added 21 assists last season.
The Russian centre owns 12 goals and 41 points across 142 career games with the Avs and Sabres.
