(SportsNetwork.com) - The Milwaukee Brewers try again for a series win over the Arizona Diamondbacks when the two clubs close out a four-game set Thursday from Chase Field.

Milwaukee won the first two installments of this desert series, but suffered a 4-3 loss on Wednesday. Brandon Kintzler allowed an RBI single to Tony Campana in the bottom of the ninth to take the loss.

Brewers starter Matt Garza lasted 7 2/3 innings and gave up three runs -- two earned -- and seven hits in the no-decision.

"He gave us a chance to win, but we've got to hit," catcher Jonathan Lucroy said of Garza, who retired 16 of the final 18 batters he faced. "That's the bottom line. It shouldn't have been that close."

Khris Davis hit a three-run homer and had a team-best two hits in defeat.

The Brewers are 14-7-2 in series play this season, including 5-1-2 over the last eight series. Milwaukee is 23-15 on the road and 7-3-1 in series play as the guest.

Milwaukee had won seven of its previous 10 games and sits 3 1/2 games ahead of St. Louis for the NL Central lead. The club will visit Colorado for three games this weekend.

Getting the call for the Brewers Thursday will be Yovani Gallardo. Gallardo has allowed only one run in his last two starts (14 innings) and has 16 K's in that time. He did not post a decision in Saturday's 4-2 win over Cincinnati and gave up that aforementioned run over seven innings.

Gallardo is 4-4 with a 3.51 ERA this season and 2-2 in six road assignments. The right-hander hopes to stay unbeaten in his career against Arizona, as he owns a 6-0 mark with a 1.93 ERA in nine starts.

Campana was the hero last night for the Diamondbacks, who won for just the second time in the past eight games. He plated Martin Prado for the game- winning run.

"Martin's at third, so I knew all I had to do was find a way to put a ball in play and beat it to first," Campana said. "So just getting a ball in play, hitting it on the ground (was key), because hitting it in the air pretty good wasn't working."

Chris Owings ended 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored in the win. Owings was back in the lineup after being hit by a pitch the day before.

The D'backs still have San Francisco and Cleveland to play on this homestand.

After winning his first five starts to his career, Chase Anderson aims to bounce back from a loss Thursday versus the Brewers. In last Friday's 4-3 setback at Los Angeles, Anderson gave up two runs in five innings, walked four batters and struck out four.

Anderson, a right-hander, has won his first three starts at Chase Field, lasting 17 1/3 innings to go along with a 4.15 ERA. He will face Milwaukee for the first time.

Arizona won two of three at Miller Park when these teams faced each other from May 5-7.
