The Boston Bruins have acquired forward Zac Rinaldo from the Philadelphia Flyers in exchange for a 2017 third-round draft pick.

Rinaldo, 25, scored one goal and five assists while amassing 102 penalty minutes in 58 games with the Flyers in 2014-15.

Originally selected in the sixth round (178th overall) of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft by the Flyers, Rinaldo has scored eigth goals and 16 assists with 572 penalty minutes in 223 career NHL games with the club.

Rinaldo was suspended for eight games for charging and boarding Pittsburgh Penguins defenceman Kris Letang on Jan. 20, 2015.
