The Montreal Canadiens made their first notable cut Tuesday, reassigning goaltender Zachary Fucale to his junior club, the QMJHL's Halifax Mooseheads.

Fucale had some very tough competition at Habs' camp with Peter Budaj and Dustin Tokarski battling for the backup spot behind Carey Price.

The 19-year-old was selected in the second round, 36th overall, by the Canadiens in the 2013 NHL Draft. The Laval, QC native posted a 36-9-3 record with a 2.26 goals against average in 50 games last season with Halifax.
