The Columbus Blue Jackets will be without the services of captain Nick Foligno for up to two weeks, the team announced on Monday.

The 30-year-old Buffalo native incurred a lower-body injury during Sunday night's 5-2 loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Foligno, in his sixth season with the club, has appeared in 59 games, scoring 13 times and adding 13 assists.

The Blue Jackets currently sit on 63 points and are in seventh in the Metropolitan Division. The New York Islanders and Carolina Hurricanes both sit on 64 points and are tied for the final Eastern Conference wild-card spot. Columbus is looking to qualify for the playoffs in consecutive seasons for the first time in the team's 18-year history.

They're next in action on Tuesday night when they visit the New Jersey Devils.
